Collaboration at Work

Our longstanding 'Kaizen exchange' with our partner fischer in Germany was covered in an article in the business newspaper Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun on March 9, 2020. At first, the exchange mainly focused on improvement techniques. Recently, we have also covered the topic of digitalization.

Plastic-Flow Binding

KSK has further developed its Plastic-Flow Binding technology for joining aluminum die-cast parts and resin parts. Applying pressure to the aluminum makes it 'flow' into grooves in the resin section. This happens at room temperature without the need for pretreating the parts.

Thin-Wall Die-casting

There is a growing need to create ever lighter vehicles. Reducing thickness is one way of lowering the weight of aluminum die-cast parts. KSK has successfully die-cast to a thickness of just 0.6mm. We are working on processless rendering for such castings.

One-Piece Flow Line

KSK has integrated die-casting, processing and inspection – all within the same production line – featuring an ultra-compact die-cast machine. This substantially minimizes costs, space, stock, and lead time. For this we received the Technology Development Award from Toyota Motors in 2014.

Kaizen

Employees capable of detecting waste (muda) and overstrain (muri) put their skills to use in Kaizen activities (CIP). This not only leads to products that customers are satisfied with; it also enables our staff to improve their 'human skills' and workplace competence on a daily basis.
